Brighthire Recruitment is advertising on behalf of our client, who is looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join their dedicated team within a small, family-run residential care home near Colchester. The home provides residential, dementia, respite, and palliative care and is currently rated Good by the CQC. With a strong focus on person-centred care, the service is committed to creating a warm, welcoming, and homely environment. The home supports up to 28 residents and has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality care through a dedicated and supportive staff team.

Position Details:

  • Permanent position
  • Flexibility required to work both days and nights
  • Shift Times: Paid breaks are included in all shifts.
  • £14.82 per hour
  • Overtime paid at time and a half
  • Christmas & New Year paid at double time

Responsibilities:

  • Organising and managing day-to-day shift responsibilities
  • Supporting staff with all aspects of personal care, including assisting residents with meals
  • Carrying out regular wellbeing checks on residents
  • Completing all required paperwork and care documentation accurately

Requirements:

  • Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Senior Care Assistant
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
  • Must be flexible to cover both day and night shifts
  • Due to the preferences of many of the residents, this role is open to female applicants only
