Urgently seeking Manchester based online tutors with SEN / ASC experience and good availability. Bright Heart is an award‑winning London‑based tuition agency that focuses on nurturing students with special educational needs (SEN) and those lacking confidence or motivation. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and vulnerable adults.

We are looking for experienced Manchester based online tutors with SEN / ASC experience to deliver one‑to‑one tuition in students’ homes (or remotely) and, where available, in‑person tuition. Students typically receive tuition in their homes (one‑to‑one) with a parent or guardian present or at school through the NTP (small groups up to 1:6). Successful candidates will receive further information and training on the Bright Heart Approach and relevant guidelines for working with SEN students.

Key Qualifications

  • Right to work in the UK and a current Enhanced DBS certificate (with children’s barred list check) before commencing any tutoring assignment. Candidates who have lived/worked overseas in the last 5 years must provide overseas checks including a police certificate.
  • 2 relevant professional references and a parent reference.
  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong subject knowledge in their tuition subject(s).
  • University qualification or studies towards one and A‑levels.
  • Passion for teaching and their tuition subject(s).
  • SEN tuition/teaching experience and a passion for working with students with SEN.
