Urgently seeking an experienced

Functional Skills Tutor with excellent written and spoken English who is available to tutor in the Ashford area.

Experience working with students with SEN is strongly desired.

The client has suggested a male tutor with an interest in music would work well.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be provided with further information and guidelines on the Bright Heart Approach and relevant training for working with SEN students.

Tutors will deliver functional skills lessons to students in the Ashford area.

Qualifications

  • Right to work in the UK and a current Enhanced DBS certificate (with a check of the children's barred list) before commencing any tutoring assignments (we can apply on behalf of a candidate if not currently held).
  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong subject knowledge in your tuition subject(s).
  • University qualification or studying towards one and A‑levels.
  • Passion for teaching and your tuition subject(s).
  • SEN tuition/teaching experience and a passion for working with students with SEN.
  • 2 relevant professional references and a parent reference.
  • Applicants who have lived or worked overseas in the last 5 years must provide certain overseas checks, including a police certificate.
