BGH has a unique microgrid system which uses electricity from a wind turbine and from 2 solar arrays to supply local businesses with cheap green electricity.
When not looking at the energy system, our focus is on Education and Community Engagement. A large part of our work involves undertaking tours of the demonstration site, and facilitating hands‑on workshops for Schools, Colleges and Universities. All workshops are curriculum based and are designed so that learners are guided towards finding their own answers to the challenges posed.
The Role

The workshops that we offer are always hands‑on, interactive and practical. By exploring different sources of renewable energy, we are helping young people to understand the current shifts towards sustainable energy sources and preparing them for a greener future. Our workshops typically last from 1.5‑2 hours and we can cover all ages and stages of learner.
Due to the popularity of our workshops, we are looking for someone who can help to develop and deliver these workshops to both school groups and members of the public. This candidate will:
- Research, write, resource, organise and deliver workshops, events and demonstration activities to key stakeholder groups in line with the National Curriculum.
- Liaise with school teachers to arrange logistics of workshop/programme.
- Involve, inform and inspire the young people, providing a positive role model.
- Collate, process and report pupil and teacher evaluation and collate appropriate statistics.
- Source funding/contracts for the Education programme.
- Deliver Education Contracts to exact customer specifications.
- Write and update marketing materials for all Bright Green Hydrogen activities in conjunction with the Head of Learning & Engagement.
- Market and promote all Bright Green Hydrogen and sister company activities.
- Update and review Bright Green Hydrogen Risk Assessments, Policies and procedures on a regular basis under guidance of Head of Learning & Engagement.
- Maintain and promote Bright Green Hydrogen social media.
- Support Bright Green Business’s internship programme through admin work.
