Bright Futures School is a non-associated Independent Specialist school based in Lymm, Cheshire. Our aim is to provide a child-centered and individualised education to students with Autism and other sensory processing disorders in a calm and safe environment.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint some highly motivated, enthusiastic, and caring Learning Mentors to work within our successful and hard-working team. Reporting to the Head of School, the post holders will undertake all general day-to-day activities with students in the classroom to meet their individual needs. The role must ensure that our vulnerable students are securely safeguarded at all times and their well-being is promoted to the highest possible standard.

We are looking for people who ideally have a good understanding of Autism and sensory processing difficulties, who are highly professional in their manner that can build very effective relationships with children and young adults in sometimes challenging and demanding environments. The ability to work effectively as part of a team or individually to meet the specific needs of our students is a must. You will need to have the initiative and desire to undertake a range of specialised support activities concerned with the education of students and general duties to support the operation of the service. Comprehensive induction training will be provided.

Hours of Working

37.5hrs per week - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm. There will be an occasional requirement to stay till 5pm on a Wednesday for internal training. Annual leave will be taken during school closure periods.

Salary: £23,873.60 p/a (actual salary)
