We are looking for an experienced Head of HR who will deliver our strategic and operational HR plans across all areas of the business. With sector experience ideally in care or education, you\’ll bring strategic thinking, leadership, and HR excellence to a growing organisation, ensuring our teams are highly engaged, performing and working well together to help Bright Futures deliver its goals and growth plans. This is a high impact role that offers a clear succession path for the right person.
Reporting to the People Director, your key responsibilities include:
- Development and delivery of people plans for each area of the business.
- Driving strategic and operational HR projects across the business.
- Ensuring there is a positive employee relations climate whilst taking responsibility for complex or serious ER cases.
- Designing and delivering employee engagement and retention plans.
- Building strong credible relationships with leaders, coaching and mentoring on people related matters.
- Leading the HR team, ensuring they are performing to their highest potential.
- Producing reports, management information and KPI\’s, identifying key areas of focus and action whilst managing risk.
- Working closely with the resourcing and training/development teams as part of the wider People function to deliver the overall People strategy.
You will be CIPD qualified (L7) or equivalent, have substantial experience in a generalist HR role with business partnering, have deep and broad experience of strategic and operational HR matters across the whole employee lifecycle. Ideally, you will have Care and/or Education sector experience or similar.
You must be computer literate in all Microsoft Office packages, be able to write and produce reports and presentations and analyse complex data.
You will be skilled at building relationships, be credible, have strong business acumen, a great communicator with the ability to influence at senior levels. You will have strong personal values, drive high performance in yourself and others, be self-motivated and flexible. You will also be comfortable with balancing strategic projects and day to day matters.
The role is based at our Head Office in Lymm, Cheshire with a requirement to travel to our sites across the North West, particularly as we continue to grow across the region. Hybrid working will be considered for the right candidate.
