Bright Futures currently has two highly successful, non-associated, independent specialist schools in St Helens and Lymm, and is looking to expand its educational offer in the North West. We are committed to providing high-quality education for all, where children feel safe, valued, and a sense of belonging. Our educational vision is to "awaken the potential" of every child and young person.

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Teacher to join our teaching team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future for our pupils and supporting young people aged 5-19 with autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and complex needs. Your teaching and professionalism should express our core educational values and moral purpose.

Reporting to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team you will play a pivotal role in ensuring excellence in all aspects of education and outstanding outcomes for all students. This role is ideal for someone with a passion and commitment to improving outcomes for all pupils.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection checks appropriate to the post and stage of recruitment, including social media, and communication with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). All posts are subject to satisfactory statutory employment checks and referencing.

As a Teacher you will:

  • Ensure there is a commitment to safeguarding and equality and diversity.
  • Place the safety, dignity and wellbeing of every child at the heart of everything you do, upholding equality, diversity and inclusion without compromise.
  • Set ambitious expectations and create an inclusive environment where all pupils, regardless of need or starting point, can thrive and achieve meaningful success.
  • Plan and deliver adaptive, engaging learning that removes barriers and enables every pupil to access the curriculum and make sustained progress.
  • Line manage and support Learning Mentors where required, fostering teamwork, consistency and professional growth.
  • Contribute to a culture of openness, reflection and shared practice across the school and the wider Bright Futures family.
  • Play an active role in shaping a nurturing, aspirational school community where students develop confidence, independence and pride in who they are.

The postholder may be required to do other duties appropriate to the level of the role and any other reasonable responsibilities as requested by the CEO, Directors, Headteacher and SLT Team.

The Teacher Salary will be based on experience: £37,091.18 - £44,762.40
