We are seeking a Waking Night Residential Support Worker for our home in Grappenhall, Warrington, where we support 5 children with autism and learning disabilities. Our children's home on Victoria Road has contributed to helping a number of children aged 7-18 years old make significant progress and get the best out of life. The home has a family feel to it and all the children interact well with each other and the team that are here to support them. The children within the home complete activities as individuals and as a group.
As a Waking Nights Residential Support Worker, you will empower and promote independence in the people we support during the night, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. You will lead by example, maintaining the highest standards of care and providing guidance to the team on shift. Your role will include monitoring individuals throughout the night, accurately recording any achievements, health observations, outcomes, and concerns. You will also develop strong relationships with the team and the people we support to ensure a calm, positive night-time environment and the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality care and support during night shifts.
- Monitor health and well-being, completing all required records accurately.
- Respond to emergencies and call on sleep-in staff when necessary.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing environment and uphold safeguarding policies.
- Support continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Complete night-time duties, including cleaning and monitoring tasks.
- Level 3 diploma in residential childcare, or be willing to work towards.
- Experience in care is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Full UK Driving License is advantageous.
- Salary of Β£27,028.07 - 27,680.47 (dependent on qualifications).
