We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our specialist home in Great Sankey, Warrington to provide high-quality care and life-enriching opportunities to the people we support. Rivenhall is a 3-storey modern town house setting that supports 6 adults with autism and learning disabilities to be independent and achieve their own individual outcomes.
Located in the Great Sankey area, Rivenhall is set across 3 homes with 2 adults in each. There’s always something going on — from going to rock climbing, arranging get-togethers with friends to cinema trips, shopping days, cooking sessions, bike rides and even big days out like water parks. Every day is different, and every moment is an opportunity to help someone grow in confidence and independence.
As part of a support team you will be responsible for supporting people to move into their new home. You will get to know each individual, find out their interests, and support them to achieve the small and big steps in reaching their goals and living the life they choose. Each day will be completely different, but you will be there to guide them through all of life’s milestones and challenges.
As a Support Worker, you will be a key part of their day-to-day support team, actively valuing and amplifying what matters to them, empowering their communication and independence, planning fulfilling activities. You will also keep records of their needs, support provided and progress. You will help to create a warm, stimulating environment whilst working a mix of day shifts and sleeps to meet individual needs. You’ll do more than provide care – you’ll be a mentor, advocate, and source of encouragement, helping the people you support to achieve the best outcomes.

Responsibilities- Provide person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs
- Build trusting relationships and support emotional and behavioural needs using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication, and household tasks
- Promote independence and choice, encouraging the people we support to make their own decisions wherever possible
- Support with day-to-day activities to ensure the people we support make the most of every opportunity
There are no formal qualifications required for this role, but we are looking for an individual that is:
- Passionate about person-centred care
- Resilient and tenacious
- Positive and proactive
- Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Experience in care is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Full UK Driving Licence is advantageous.
£25,516.01 - £29,817.56 (based on experience and 1 sleep-in per week)
