Ofsted Deputy Manager Location: London, HA0 Salary: £18.14 per hour (40 hours per week) Additional Pay: Sleep-in shifts paid at £70.50 per night About the Role: EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) residential home. We are currently seeking an experienced Ofsted Deputy Manager to support the daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations. Key Responsibilities: * Support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of our clients home. * Ensure the homes meet and exceed Ofsted standards, maintaining a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people. * Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality, child-centred care in line with relevant policies and procedures. * Promote the emotional, physical, and social development of the young people in our care, ensuring their needs are met. * Lead, mentor, and motivate staff, conducting supervisions, appraisals, and training as required. * Maintain accurate records and reports in line with Ofsted regulations and internal policies. * Support with safeguarding procedures, ensuring all concerns are reported and managed appropriately. * Assist in staff rotas and shift planning, ensuring appropriate staffing levels across both homes. * Engage in multi-agency working, liaising with social workers, local authorities, and other professionals. * Take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Registered Manager. Requirements: * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Essential * Experience working within an Ofsted-registered EBD home – Essential * Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a residential childcare setting – Essential * Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Home Regulations, and Quality Standards – Essential * Safeguarding knowledge and experience – Essential * A full UK driving licence – Strongly favourable * Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills * Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in duties (a fixed shift pattern is not available).
