Job Description
Join our dedicated home care team as a Domiciliary Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support to live independently at home. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence.
- Support clients in managing medication routines and adhering to care plans tailored to their individual needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ mental health and overall happiness.
- Help with light household chores including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and shopping to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care delivery.
- Follow health and safety guidelines rigorously while documenting care activities accurately in records or digital systems.
- Use your driving skills to safely transport clients to appointments or social activities when required.
Qualifications
- Valid driving license with access to a reliable vehicle is preferred for home visits and transportation duties.
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care services is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English to understand care plans and interact with clients confidently.
- Basic IT skills for recording care activities electronically and updating client records efficiently.
- Strong communication skills combined with empathy and patience are essential for building trusting relationships with clients.
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow prescribed routines accurately ensures high-quality support.
