Location: Exeter, Devon About the Role We are seeking a kind, reliable, and experienced female live‑in carer to support an independent lady living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in her own home in Exeter.
This is a long‑term position for someone who is compassionate, patient, and confident in providing high‑quality, person‑centred care while promoting independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing daily personal care in a respectful and supportive manner
- Assisting with mobility and transfers using a standing hoist
- Supporting daily living activities while encouraging independence
- Monitoring wellbeing and responding calmly and confidently to needs
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience supporting clients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Care certificates and relevant training
- Manual handling and standing hoist experience using a re-turn (essential)
- Up‑to‑date Moving & Handling certificate
- Excellent understanding of person‑centred care
- Ability to work independently and responsibly Personal Qualities
- Kind, patient, and empathetic
- Friendly, confident, and reliable
- Respectful of dignity, privacy, and independence
- Strong communication skills Requirements
- Female carer (genuine occupational requirement)
- Enhanced DBS and registered on the Update Service
