We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our site-based engineering team in Hull.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, from troubleshooting equipment issues to proactively preventing downtime. Your skills in both electrical and mechanical engineering will be put to the test, making every day a stimulating challenge. The machinery and equipment we have onsite include conveyors, sealers, weighers, metal detectors, depositors, mixers and cutters. An ability to service and maintain a number of these is highly advantageous, however, we wouldn’t expect you to be an expert in all areas.
The role of a Multi-Skilled Engineer:
- Complete fault finding, planned and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
- Carry out fault finding, problem-solving and establish root cause fixes to address equipment issues.
- Maintain ongoing communications with the operations team ensuring they are fully aware of all relevant engineering activities and schedules.
- Respond to internal customer needs to maximise production uptime according to given priorities.
- Comply with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely.
- Record any stock removed from the Engineering stores to ensure accurate stock control.
- Complete all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and is audit ready.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety and/or operational efficiency and effectiveness.
