We are currently recruiting a Lead Process Development Technologist to be based at our Hull site.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a talented NPD Process Technologist to join our team and help us create innovative new products. If you have a passion for baking and product development, we want you! This is a fantastic opportunity for an NPD or Process Technologist looking for a step up into a more senior position, taking the lead on projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience within a food manufacturing business, preferably in a bakery or equivalent knowledge/experience. A bias towards process rather than product development would be advantageous. A food science-related qualification is preferred.
What you’ll be doing as a Senior/Lead NPD Process Technologist:
- Develop new and existing products in line with the product launch process, from concept through to launch, ensuring all products achieve the required commercial targets & desired shelf life.
- Work closely with commercial controllers, marketing, suppliers and customers.
- Be responsible for managing multiple projects, and ensuring they are delivered on time to critical paths, working closely with key stakeholders and customers internally and externally.
- Prepare recipe information, customer documentation and internal paperwork in line with projects and requirements.
- Create product costings for all developments and product changes.
- Organise & lead factory trials with operations, process and site technical teams.
- Work closely with suppliers and procurement on new raw materials and tender projects.
