Job Summary
Responsible for managing and coordinating the operations of the surgical pathology department by overseeing various administrative tasks related to pathology services, laboratory operations, and team coordination.

Essential Functions
- Provide leadership and coordination for the surgical pathology department.
- Oversee the daily workflow of surgical pathology processes, including the accessioning, grossing, processing, and reporting of surgical specimens.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and accreditation standards, such as CAP (College of American Pathologists) or CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments).
- Manage the inventory of pathology supplies, reagents, and equipment.
- Oversee the maintenance of pathology databases and electronic health records systems related to surgical specimens.
- Provide supervision and guidance to pathology support staff, including histotechnologists, pathology assistants, and administrative personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements governing surgical pathology services.
