The Mooring Operator's tasks include mooring and unmooring vessels, rigging and de-rigging hoses and arms, re-rigging during cargo/ballast operations, and performing general and planned maintenance as directed. The role requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
Principal Responsibilities- Moor and unmoor vessels in accordance with safe working practices and company-agreed procedures from the quayside or onboard line vessels
- Connect and disconnect loading arms and hoses to ensure product integrity
- Operate a hand-held VHF radio, for communicating with colleagues or vessels
- Assist with Crewing Pilot launches and workboats as required
- Undertake training as required to comply with company regulations and legislative requirements
The Mooring Operator will be required to work on a shift (following the site shift pattern). This will be after the training where you will work as directed by the training team and the Operations Manager.
