The Role

The Commercial Assistant will work closely with the Commercial Management team to support the implementation of commercial strategies and plans that meet the organisation’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess potential commercial opportunities and risks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and vendors to strengthen business partnerships.
  • Monitor contract performance, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and initiating appropriate actions to address any issues.
  • Collaborate with divisional teams to procure project requirements.
  • Assist in running competitive tender processes across the supply chain, including supporting the preparation and review of documentation and financial information.
  • Respond to ad hoc commercial enquiries.

The Candidate

We are seeking an individual with either commercial experience or a relevant qualification who is interested in starting or developing their career in a commercial environment.

Experience Preferred

  • Sound understanding of a commercial environment.
  • Experience in project costing and building commercial relationships.
  • Composed, organised, professional, and resilient under pressure.
  • Ability to produce and present clear reports and papers.
  • Experience using contract forms such as LOGIC, NEC3 and NEC4, and BIMCO.
