Are you an experienced commercial diver looking for a challenging and rewarding role in marine operations? Briggs Marine is seeking a Diver / Technician to join our team, supporting a range of marine projects across the UK and overseas. You’ll be involved in both diving and technical tasks, ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The role combines practical diving duties with technical and operational responsibilities, assisting with equipment preparation, mobilisation, maintenance, and safe execution of diving tasks under supervision. Working closely with Dive Supervisors and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll help deliver projects across ports, offshore assets, renewable energy installations, marine construction, and defence environments. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine hands-on diving work with technical expertise in a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support diving operations as an in-water diver and surface team member
  • Assist Lead Divers and Dive Supervisors during operations
  • Prepare, maintain, and test diving equipment and spreads
  • Assist with mobilisation and demobilisation activities
  • Conduct pre-dive checks and equipment inspections
  • Maintain safe working practices in accordance with HSE and company procedures
  • Support vessel and site operations as required
  • Maintain accurate operational records and equipment logs
  • Promote high standards of safety and professionalism

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised commercial diving qualification suitable for UK operations (e.g. HSE Surface Supplied or equivalent)
  • Current HSE Diving Medical (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong safety awareness and professional attitude
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a disciplined team environment
  • Flexibility to travel and work across the UK and overseas when required

Due to the nature of our defence contracts, applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom and be UK nationals. Candidates must also be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) or higher.
