The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

The Role is responsible to the Master for the vessels’ safe and efficient day-to-day operation and for the completion of assigned tasks.
Principal Responsibilities:- To be responsible for the performance of a safe navigational watch
- The maintenance of life saving appliances and firefighting equipment
- Reporting to the Master – defects, hazards, incidents and accidents
- Planning and recording of deck work to include mooring inspection documentation
- Allocation of daily work to the Boatswain including providing assistance to the engineering and catering departments when required
- Conduct deck operations in a safe and efficient manner
- Stock control of mooring equipment held on board
- Review of on board contingency plans, risk assessments and shipboard procedures
- Ensuring the vessel is properly prepared for all statutory surveys and ensuring the vessel remains in a seaworthy condition
- DP Operations
- Undertake training as required to comply with Company regulations and legislative requirements
- Chief Mate Unlimited II/2 < 3000GT (CEC if non-UK)
- STCW Advanced Firefighting and Fire Prevention
- STCW Firefighting and fire prevention certificate
- STCW Personal Survival Techniques
- STCW Proficiency in Survival craft and rescue boats
- STCW Medical care on board ships certificate
- STCW Personal safety and Social responsibility certificates
- GMDSS radio operators certificate
- Radar and ARPA certification
- HELM certification if CoC after August 2013
- DP Operator Security Awareness
- Designated Security Duties
- Enclosed space training
- Medical First Aid Safety Officer certificate
