Role Overview
We wish to appoint an Electrical Estimator within our highly successful Pre-Contract estimating team at Briggs & Forrester Northern Region office located in Warrington. Briggs & Forrester is a sector specialist providing design and installation of mechanical, electrical, and public health services, predominantly delivering schemes in the Residential, Commercial, Education, Leisure and Industrial and Energy Sectors. As a specialist we provide quick turnaround of tender & preconstruction information and therefore this is a permanent office-based position, however occasional flexible / home working is offered where the workload permits.
Key Responsibilities
- Production of detailed tender bids and cost plans
- Attending mid and post tender meetings
- Post tender control
- Interfacing with both existing and prospective new clients
- Communication and interfacing with sub-contractor and supplier companies, using existing companies and generating new leads
The position will involve the day-to-day management of the tender process to ensure standards are maintained and deadlines are met. Whilst electrically biased, the position also demands a wide knowledge of mechanical engineering services.
