Electrical Estimator role at Briggs & Forrester Living. The position is based with the Engineering Services South East regional team, Northampton head office.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed tender bids and cost plans.
  • Manage the day-to-day tender process to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Attend mid and post tender meetings and interface with existing and prospective clients.
  • Communicate with sub-contractors and supplier companies, using existing contacts and generating new leads.
  • Work as part of a team to promote a constructive working environment.
  • Ensure tender documents are reviewed and understood (e.g., Prelims, Terms & Conditions, BREEAM, Fire Strategy, Acoustics, BIM).

Requirements

  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of all aspects of Electrical building services.
  • Ability to attend, present and chair both internal and external meetings.
  • Commercial acumen to ensure tenders are financially sound.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in including M&E abnormalities for both disciplines.
  • Pro-active and approachable attitude.
  • Agree strategy for use of specialist names or ‘equal’ alternatives detailed within documents.
