Overview
Electrical Estimator role at Briggs & Forrester Living. The position is based with the Engineering Services South East regional team, Northampton head office.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed tender bids and cost plans.
- Manage the day-to-day tender process to ensure deadlines are met.
- Attend mid and post tender meetings and interface with existing and prospective clients.
- Communicate with sub-contractors and supplier companies, using existing contacts and generating new leads.
- Work as part of a team to promote a constructive working environment.
- Ensure tender documents are reviewed and understood (e.g., Prelims, Terms & Conditions, BREEAM, Fire Strategy, Acoustics, BIM).
Requirements
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of all aspects of Electrical building services.
- Ability to attend, present and chair both internal and external meetings.
- Commercial acumen to ensure tenders are financially sound.
- Ability to work as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience in including M&E abnormalities for both disciplines.
- Pro-active and approachable attitude.
- Agree strategy for use of specialist names or ‘equal’ alternatives detailed within documents.
