An opportunity has arisen to join our Procurement department procuring mechanical and electrical materials across a range of residential projects. Working with a team in a vibrant fast-paced environment. We are looking for the right candidate who is adaptable and is eager to work within the dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:- Promote efficient and professional impression of the business both internally and externally.
- Expedite clear and concise communication both internally and externally.
- Communicate on lessons learnt (both positive and negative aspects) on projects and in the day-to-day activity within the business.
- Promote and adhere to the procurement business process.
- Complete assigned tasks on a day-to-day basis.
- To be able to problem solve and address potential problems or challenges.
- To be open to learning new skills and techniques where required, including any role specific training.
- Actively participate in meetings where required.
- Assist in managing a strong, reliable supply chain.
- Source new supply chain partners (where applicable).
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- Assist in the smooth running of the procurement department, contributing to a positive team environment.
- To show respect and support to all other members of the team.

- Support the management of our site procurement strategy trackers for the projects assigned.
- Promote efficient and professional impression of the business externally.
- Provide feedback to the estimating team where required.
- Provide accurate information for reporting and KPI’s.
- Better buy against the targets set within our project CVRs (cost value report).
- Support material management audits on site where required.
- Manage call-off commodity material order with the operations team.
- Ensure all material orders are placed in a timely manner in line with the dates detailed within the Procurement trackers for projects.
- Input orders onto the IT system (Cybercube) and issue to relevant suppliers and site teams.
- Assist the aftercare team when required.
- Manage meetings with Supply chain partners.
- Expedite documentation, invoices and information from the supply chain.
- Expedite and chase overdue materials when required.
- Communicate and liaise with site to establish best buying practices.
You will either have experience working as a Buyer in the Construction industry or you will have worked for a Builders Merchants.
Package:- 25 days holiday (up to 30 days with service) plus bank holidays.
