The Opportunity

Briggs Equipment Group is seeking a Workshop Team Leader to take responsibility for the day-to-day, monthly and annual operation of the workshop. This role is focused on leading and developing engineering teams, driving efficiencies, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high standards across workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a safe and secure working environment alongside the SHEQ Advisor.
  • Lead, manage and motivate workshop engineers to improve productivity and performance.
  • Drive efficiency improvements and identify opportunities to reduce operational costs.
  • Monitor and address repair and maintenance overspend within workshop operations.
  • Ensure compliance with PM servicing schedules, engineering standards, H&S requirements and audits.
  • Develop commercial awareness within the engineering team.
  • Identify training needs and authorise engineer development activities.
  • Manage performance, recognising success and addressing underperformance.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture and support Briggs' ambition to be an employer of choice.
  • Maintain exceptional workshop standards and build strong relationships.
