The Opportunity:
Contract: Permanent
Location: Maidenhead / Berkshire

From forklift sales, hire, driver training, all makes service, parts, fleet management and warehouse planning, we provide total solutions. Neckar Forklifts has two convenient locations - a short distance from London's Heathrow Airport and in Castleford, West Yorkshire - serving the North of England and Scotland.
The Impact you will have:
- Follow all reasonable and lawful instructions including those related to Health and Safety.
- Promote and adhere to Briggs’s culture and values.
- Successfully complete agreed objectives as laid out by their mentor and the training team.
- Complete all training related documents and assignments on time and in the approved format.
- Attend training courses as required.
- Work as instructed by their mentor to ensure all work is carried out safely.
Work towards Engineering responsibilities:
- Working at our Depot in Maidenhead, complete all supervised repair work, ensuring safe working practices are adhered to.
- Carry out PDI’s on new equipment completing all related paperwork.
- Use any available resources to achieve this, including when required the Briggs Technical team.
- Ensure all work complies with engineering standards and, as relevant, Briggs/manufacturer specification/tolerances.
- Carry out inspection/checks on own work as it proceeds and ensuring that the equipment performs satisfactorily and is safe before handing back to the customer.
- Complete all related job and service documentation correctly.
Role Purpose:
On the job training of the practical aspects of the role of a Workshop Engineer. Carry out work on Mechanical / Electrical and Hydraulic Handling equipment (all work will be supervised by a competent Engineer and the Trainee will not carry out any unsupervised work). Work will be Depot based so that the trainee can gain as much experience as possible. In house technical training will be provided by our Academy.
