About Us: Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. We have a new opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our successful Finance team in Lisburn.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance Manager in producing accurate Management Accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and driving process improvements.
  • Lead and develop team members, promoting growth and high performance aligned with company values.
  • Assist Group Tax with VAT, tax, customs and other statutory returns, and respond to wider group requests.
  • Produce cash flow forecasts and support capital expenditure planning.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis and reforecasts for senior review.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset records in partnership with operations.

What will help you to excel in this role:

  • Finalist (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)/Qualified by experience.
  • Extensive financial accounting experience, including preparation to trial balance and full management accounts level.
  • Advanced Excel capability, including experience of pivot tables and lookups.
  • Significant understanding of Processes / Accounting Principles.
  • Strong understanding of finance systems and required controls.
