We’re currently seeking an experienced and motivated Transport Manager to lead, develop, and inspire our driver team across Scotland.
The role:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of 15 drivers, fostering a positive, high-performing culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide visible leadership, supporting drivers through regular engagement, coaching and performance development.
- Ensure all transport operations are carried out safely, efficiently and in full compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Promote a strong safety-first culture, encouraging and recognising safe working practices.
- Drive improvements in customer service, operational efficiency and team performance.
- Manage a fleet of 14 vehicles, ensuring high standards of service delivery and operational excellence.
- Work closely with depot, engineering, sales and operational teams to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across transport operations.
- Support future growth plans, with the opportunity for the role to expand and oversee fleet activities across Scotland.
What will help you to excel in this role:
- CPC qualification in Transport Management.
- Management qualification (Degree, HND or equivalent).
- IOSH or similar Health & Safety certification.
- Proven experience in transport, logistics or operations management.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and contracts.
- Sound knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience within the powered access, plant, service or related industries.
- Experience managing third-party transport providers.
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
- Proficient in IT systems, including transport management software.
