Salary: £36,839-£38,653 + overtime available; door-to-door payments and optional call-out

Role Summary: We have a new opportunity for a Field Plant Engineer to join our friendly and supportive engineering services team. We welcome applicants with backgrounds in forklift trucks, car, vehicle, plant machinery, agricultural equipment, HGVs, passenger vehicles, or similar machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhering to safety guidelines and all policies set by customers and Briggs Equipment
  • Servicing and maintaining diesel, petrol and electrically powered small plant, agricultural and ground care equipment
  • Attending breakdowns, fault finding and completing planned preventative maintenance
  • Ensuring a high level of customer service and addressing any queries
  • Completing job activity electronically
  • Maintaining the company vehicle to a high standard and ensuring the correct parts stock
  • Developing customer relationships through high standards of service

Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principles
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload
  • Understanding of customer needs

Benefits:

  • A base salary up to £38,653 per annum based on a 40-hour working week
  • Overtime payable at 1.5× Monday – Saturday and ×2 on Sunday
