The Opportunity: Head of Group Reporting & FP&A
Contract: Permanent
Location: Cannock
The Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland.
The Impact you will have
- Ownership of Group Statutory Accounts & Audit (UK & Ireland)
- You lead the full statutory reporting and audit process across the Group.
- Produce Group and entity statutory accounts in line with FRS102.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency of all primary statements and disclosures.
- Own the statutory close timetable and delivery deadlines.
- Define audit scope and lead all audit planning.
- Act as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Maintain and enforce Group accounting policies.
- Ensure compliance with up‑to‑date accounting standards and documentation.
- You ensure the business operates from one trusted version of performance.
- Deliver Group P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, capex and KPI reporting.
- Maintain consistent definitions, hierarchies and structures across entities and systems.
- Run a disciplined management close timetable with clear deadlines.
- Remove ambiguity around “which number is right”.
- Ensure reporting is predictable, timely and trusted across the organisation.
- You own the forward‑looking financial view of the Group.
- Produce Group forecasts, budgets and rolling outlooks.
- Lead short‑, medium‑ and long‑term planning cycles.
- Define assumptions and planning standards.
- Build driver‑based models linking operations to financial outcomes.
- Provide scenario and sensitivity analysis that supports real decision‑making.
- Ensure forecasts adapt quickly to trading conditions.
- Embed a culture of “what if?” thinking before decisions are made.
- You elevate finance from reporting to strategic partnership.
