The Opportunity: Specialist Technician / Master Contract: Permanent Location: Maidenhead / Berkshire

Neckar Forklifts has two convenient locations - a short distance from London's Heathrow Airport and in Castleford, West Yorkshire - serving the North of England and Scotland.
The Impact you will have:
- To provide assistance across the CST in fault finding and diagnosis of more complicated machine faults with the ultimate objective of improving 1st time fix performance.
- Capable of providing expert diagnosis and engineering support on complicated MHE and ESE faults.
- To train, develop and coach engineers in the CST in order to raise the standard of MHE and ESE problem diagnosis and the service delivered to the customer.
- To set a clear benchmark for the rest of the engineering team to aspire to in order that the technical standards are set high and the appropriate development is available to enable others to achieve.
- To assist the Field Technical Support Engineer where required and to take over their duties during holiday periods.
- To deal with telephone enquiries from engineers to support the diagnosis of the likely cause of MHE and ESE problems using specialised equipment and/or equipment manufacturers and/or parts supply specialists in order to provide a timely solution.
- To support the identification of parts required to carry out repairs.
- To assist in the creation of an internal database to identify trends of reported ongoing faults and proposed solutions.
- To comply with the company Health and Safety “no tolerance” rules and comply with all aspects of the law as a minimum.
- To play an active part in championing a positive environmental and health and safety culture at all times with demonstrable skills and knowledge of these important matters to fellow colleagues, customers and suppliers.
What will help you to excel in this role:
- Expert knowledge and experience of relevant equipment on customer's sites.
- Proven track record in complex problem solving and fault diagnosis.
- Comprehensive knowledge in the use of site or vehicle based diagnosis tools and equipment essential.
- Communications skills are essential from a training delivery, customer service and internal coordination perspective.
- IT literate.
