Workshop Engineer , you'll play a key role in servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment within our workshop. You'll ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard, while supporting the development of apprentices and maintaining excellent service levels. The Impact you will have: Servicing, maintaining, and repairing diesel, LPG, and electric material handling equipment. Diagnosing faults and carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Completing pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure equipment is customer-ready. Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment, including shared working areas. Following all health and safety procedures, policies, and workshop standards. Completing job cards accurately and ensuring required parts are identified and ordered promptly. Supporting and mentoring apprentices and less experienced engineers. What will help you to excel in this role: Experience working on forklifts, plant machinery, HGVs, powered access equipment, cleaning machines, automotive vehicles, or similar mechanical equipment. A relevant engineering or technical qualification. Previous experience in a workshop-based or field service engineering role. Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills. The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.
