The Opportunity: Logistics Controller

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40

Location: Maidenhead

The Impact you will have:

  • Maintaining a safe unloading/loading working environment to ensure safe unloading/loading of vehicles
  • Performing all unloading and loading activities on Briggs site following the correct safety and job processes to ensure equipment is unloaded/loaded safely
  • Performing equipment checks on all equipment received
  • Maintaining accurate records for all equipment dispatched/received
  • Performing stock picking activities to meet workshop requirements
  • Identifying any errors in shipment and report accordingly to the Senior Logistics Controller completing any associated documentation
  • Maintaining stock location system as required to ensure quick and accurate stock picking
  • Assisting in equipment audits
  • Performing equipment visual checks prior to delivery to ensure spec is correct
  • Performing all tasks allocated in an efficient and timely manner to reduce workshop non-productivity
  • Performing battery charging of electric machines to maintain battery performance of equipment
  • Assisting in out of hours call outs

What will help you to excel in this role:

  • Demonstrable computer skills with experience in Excel, and logistics stock control systems
  • Significant experience in loading/unloading of vehicles by use of a FLT or similar
  • Demonstrable experience of safety at work
