We wish to appoint an Electrical Estimator within our highly successful Pre‑Contract estimating team at Briggs & Forrester Northern Region office located in Warrington. Briggs & Forrester is a sector specialist providing design and installation of mechanical, electrical, and public health services, predominantly delivering schemes in the Residential, Commercial, Education, Leisure and Industrial and Energy Sectors. As a specialist we provide quick turnaround of tender & preconstruction information and therefore this is a permanent office‑based position, however occasional flexible / home working is offered where the workload permits.
Responsibilities
- Production of detailed tender bids and cost plans
- Attending mid and post tender meetings
- Post tender control
- Interfacing with both our existing and prospective new clients
- Communication and interfacing with sub‑contractor and supplier companies, using existing companies and generating new leads
The position will involve the day‑to‑day management of the tender process to ensure standards are maintained and deadlines are met. Whilst electrically biased, the position also demands a wide knowledge of mechanical engineering services. Candidates will need to demonstrate a broad knowledge of the industry and will have experience in a wide range of sectors as detailed above, and be familiar with project requirements for BREEAM, Nabers, Part L and Smart Building Technologies. This is a permanent, office‑based position.
