The Senior Planner is responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules for complex Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) building services projects. The role ensures that programmes are realistic, efficient, and aligned with contractual requirements, client expectations, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Development: Create and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software (Asta). Develop contract baseline programmes aligned with scope, price, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Planning & Coordination: Facilitate integrated planning meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders. Incorporate design, procurement, and construction activities into a single coordinated programme.
- Progress Monitoring: Track progress against baseline using tools such as Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Analysis, and Resource Histograms. Prepare and distribute progress reports, S-curves, and productivity metrics.
- Change Management: Update programmes to reflect variations and communicate impacts to operations and commercial teams. Conduct time-risk analysis and scenario planning throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bid Support: Participate in tender planning and provide input for bid submissions.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to company planning procedures and contractual obligations.
