This Brigg Scientific client is a medical device diagnostic company who are looking for a Development Scientist to work out of their site on The Wirral, Merseyside.

Duties and personal qualities will include the following:

  • Collaborating on scientific studies in support of product development/improvement
  • Maintaining detailed ongoing project records
  • Adherence to quality and operational protocols
  • Knowledge of biochemistry instrumentation and techniques: including immunochemistry, microfluidics and electrochemistry
  • Good PCR/molecular knowledge is essential for this role
  • Data analysis/statistics
  • Problem solving skills

This is a permanent role commanding a salary in the range £26-28k + company benefits. Applications are welcomed from BSc qualified graduates in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Microbiology or closely related subjects. Experience from a previous medical device role and ISO 13485 exposure would be a distinct advantage. This exciting and challenging role has an immediate start and training will be provided for their specialised equipment. They operate across a wide range of technologies from initial concept to final operational environment.
