Purpose of the role: To provide an effective and responsive warehouse service to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick and pack products and organise appropriate despatch with relevant transportation in accordance with “Goods Outwards” procedures.
- Computer input with regard to despatch of product, using appropriate systems for each courier company.
- Carry out goods inwards and product returns in accordance with warehouse procedure.
- Rotate stock when needed ensuring traceability and trackability of product.
- Load and unload vehicles using forklift truck when necessary.
- Liaise with the Customer Service team in determining order priority.
- Develop systems with Warehouse Supervisor to streamline operations.
- Undertake sample counting and stock control.
- Continuously improve housekeeping and health and safety standards.
- A flexible approach is necessary and the ability to work beyond the business hours when required is essential.
- Support the Warehouse Manager with any other duties as required.
Person Specification:
- Experienced in components/parts warehouse.
- A good standard of education to include numeracy and literacy.
- Computer and keyboard literate.
- Practical and sound business common-sense.
- NVQ II Warehouse and Distribution FLT licence is desirable.
- Practical on-the-job distribution/warehouse skills, health and safety manual handling, import/export documentation.
- Experience and knowledge of Goods In.
- Picking and packing experience.
- Administration and computer systems within warehouse operation.

- Work within customer-based core industries or competitive companies.
