As part of our continued international growth, we are seeking an accomplished Group Finance Director to join our Executive Leadership Team and provide strategic, commercial, and financial leadership across the Group.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director, this is a highly influential board-level position with overall responsibility for the Group’s financial strategy, performance, governance, and control. The Group Finance Director will combine strong technical expertise with commercial and strategic insight, acting as a trusted adviser to the Board. You will play a critical role in shaping the Group’s growth trajectory, supporting international expansion, and ensuring that financial decision-making underpins long-term value creation. With expansion planned both organically and through acquisition, the role will have significant exposure to corporate finance activity, including capital structure, banking facilities, taxation, ERP systems, and post-acquisition integration across the UK and overseas.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a close, effective working relationship with the Group Managing Director, Board Directors, and senior leadership team
- Lead and control all financial aspects of the Group’s operations to support strategic and commercial objectives
- Provide high-quality financial insight, analysis, and challenge to drive profitability, cash generation, and return on capital employed
- Oversee global financial reporting, statutory accounts, audits, insurance, and risk management
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Deliver clear, insightful Finance Board Reports on a quarterly basis
- Manage banking relationships, debt facilities, and covenant compliance
- Oversee Group-wide taxation, transfer pricing, and external advisers
- Lead, develop, and mentor the centralised Group Finance function, building capability and succession
- Partner with IT and the wider business on the development and optimisation of Group ERP systems
- Support acquisitions, integrations, and complex financial modelling initiatives
About You
- Demonstrable experience operating at Finance Director or equivalent Board level
- Proven background within a multi-national business, with exposure to overseas accounting and compliance
- Commercially astute, strategically focused, and comfortable influencing at Executive level
- Strong people leader with the ability to develop high-performing finance teams
- Confident communicator with the credibility to engage internal and external stakeholders
- Experienced in working with modern, IT-enabled finance and ERP systems
