Briffa is looking for a paralegal to join its busy IP and Technology law practice in London. Briffa employs paralegals with a view to awarding a training contract after completing a successful 6-month period with the firm. Briffa advises businesses on all aspects of intellectual property and technology law. You will work with businesses in media, computer games, advertising, fashion, technology and design and more. We offer fantastic opportunities for commercially aware dedicated individuals.

Responsibilities

  • The main duties and responsibilities of the paralegal are to provide administrative and broader support to all fee-earners in the team including drafting support, compilation of advice, reviewing and proof-reading legal documents together with assistance to the team on marketing activities and management of profile raising.

Qualifications

  • Ideally you will be a Law graduate with a first or upper second-class degree or equivalent and have completed the LPC successfully and have experience of intellectual property and technology law.

General skills will include:

  • Highly organised and methodical approach to the role as well as confidence with IT systems
  • Attention to detail and the confidence to work independently as well as in a team
  • Highly motivated and commercially astute
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, reliable and works well under pressure
