The Governing Body of Brierley CE (VC) Primary School warmly invites applications for an exceptional, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to support our brand-new nursery provision, opening in September 2026. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a committed and nurturing practitioner to play a key role in supporting the development of a new nursery from the very beginning, as part of our already well-respected, friendly and vibrant school community. About the Role
- Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- Help create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment where young children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn
- Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities, both indoors and outdoors
- Provide emotional support and care, helping children to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships
- Work closely with the class teacher to support high-quality teaching and learning
- Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery provision
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues
About You
- Be an enthusiastic, caring and reflective Early Years practitioner
- Have a good understanding of child development and how young children learn
- Be well organised and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Be proactive, motivated and committed to high-quality Early Years practice
- Be able to nurture and support children through a child-centred approach
