Banking Solicitor (NQ – 2PQE)

We’re partnering with a well-established City law firm to recruit a Banking Solicitor (NQ – 2PQE) to join their highly regarded practice. With a growing team led by two ex-Magic Circle partners, this is an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor to build their expertise in a supportive, high-performing environment.

The Role This position offers a varied caseload across lender and borrower work, with a particular focus on real estate finance. The team also supports corporate, private client and investment matters, meaning the work is as diverse as the client base—ranging from global financial institutions and private equity firms, to entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals.

You’ll work closely with senior team members on:

Structuring and negotiating finance transactions

Drafting bespoke loan and security documents

Managing transactions from end-to-end

Advising clients with clarity and confidence

Supporting broader team growth and business development

What We’re Looking For

Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ – 2PQE)

Experience in banking and finance law, ideally within a recognised firm

Exposure to real estate finance or general lending work

Strong technical drafting skills

Commercial acumen and a proactive, team-oriented mindset

Recent Highlights

Advising on a £350M financing for a City office and major retail asset

Acting for a European real estate fund across multiple jurisdictions

Supporting a household-name healthcare chain on a £115M facility

Managing high-value hotel and residential financings for a prominent property group
