Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Senior Clerk to join our Family Team. Based in Manchester, you will support the smooth running of the clerking function for the family team, ensuring effective integration with the broader Practice Group services.

The role involves managing Junior Clerks, overseeing diary management and work allocation, supporting barristers in developing their practices, and contributing to marketing initiatives and business development. You will also help deliver training, technical guidance, and continuous improvement across the clerking team while maintaining high standards of client service.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a barristers’ clerk, strong knowledge of the legal services market and court systems, and excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. You will be organised, able to prioritise tasks effectively, and committed to continuous improvement. Experience clerking silks and presenting tenders or pitches is desirable.
