We're growing incredibly fast. Today we work with 130+ accounting firms and serve over 4,000 UK SMEs. Demand for Briefcase is outpacing what our small team can handle. That's where you come in. We need someone who can help us scale the company, not just the product. As Founding Operator, you'll work directly with the founders to solve Briefcase's biggest challenges - starting with hiring, but quickly expanding into anything that blocks growth. You’ll be part of a small, ambitious team obsessed with execution - helping us scale every part of the business and doing whatever it takes to help us get to the next stage.

What you'll actually do

  • Your first priority is building the team
    • Own hiring pipeline: sourcing, screening, end-to-end candidate journey
    • Make us standout and find creative ways to attract talent
    • Help define what 'great' looks like at Briefcase
  • Beyond that, you'll go wherever the problems are
    • Operations - organise conferences, manage team buildout, offsites
    • Marketing, RevOps & CS - design marketing/GTM campaigns, automate customer workflows
    • Finance, Legal & Compliance - support planning, reporting, building systems
    • Whatever is the bottleneck - special projects, partnerships, fundraising, international expansion

What we're looking for

  • You've consistently outperformed your peers
  • You've done hard things and done them well
  • You care about quality, but not at the expense of speed
  • You do things once and then automate it
  • You are highly ambitious and want to build a generational company
  • You thrive in highly autonomous environments and like to own projects end-to-end
