Brief2Event provide professional, bespoke event services to the association and corporate market, creating a complete solution to help planners deliver successful events. We supply everything from virtual/hybrid platforms to venue and accommodation booking services and event management.
We are looking for an Event Consultant to work within our venue finding team, taking overall responsibility for your enquiries with a focus on delivering the highest quality proposals and customer service to our clients. You will manage a varied list of clients and will be sourcing venues for a range of events, from small board meetings to large conventions, throughout the UK and overseas. No two days are the same and you will be juggling multiple events at any given time.
Overview of key responsibilities include:
- Source and book venues and hotels in line with client requirements, throughout the UK and internationally
- Deliver a high level of customer service and attention to detail at all times
- Negotiate rates, terms and commission with suppliers
- Arrange site visits and accompany clients as and when required
- Develop lasting relationships with your key accounts and suppliers
- Identify potential growth accounts and work with sales/marketing team to maximise opportunities
- Continually improve product knowledge through visiting venues and attending venue presentations at the office
- Ensure efficient workflows are maintained and take responsibility for tracking and recording of enquiry journey, following the company process
- Work with colleagues to meet the team revenue, conversion and response time targets
Essential skills required:
- A good standard of IT skills (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident on the telephone, on video calls and face to face with clients and suppliers
- Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
- Previous experience in venue finding/accommodation booking or venue/hotel/event experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Venue Directory (Gratis) system would be advantageous, although full training will be given
- You should be available to work in the office in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Hours of work are Monday – Thursday 9am – 5.30pm and Friday 9am – 5pm.
