Workchain Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join our client based in Alfreton. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for regular, ongoing work, with immediate starts available.
The Role
- Driving an HGV Class 2 / Category C vehicle
- Completing local and regional deliveries
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely
- Completing delivery paperwork and relevant documentation
- Following planned routes and delivery schedules
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Liaising professionally with customers and delivery sites
- Reporting any vehicle defects or issues
- Following all relevant road safety, company and transport regulations
- Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times
Requirements
- A valid HGV Class 2 / Cat C licence
- A valid Driver CPC
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience is preferred
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
- A strong understanding of road safety requirements
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A reliable and punctual approach to work
- The ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
- A professional attitude when representing the company
