Do you want to work for an OUTSTANDING Education Institution? Foundation Learning is an Ofsted Outstanding area of the college and the 23/24 winner of the RCU Beacon Award for Support for Students. It is an outstanding department that provides a number of highly successful study programmes for learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), barriers to learning, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH).
The post-holder will be a motivated, enthusiastic, and multi-skilled professional with expertise across various trades, such as motor vehicle maintenance, construction, plumbing, and other practical disciplines that will benefit the students' skills. They will be a strong team player who strives to deliver the best possible outcomes for our learners, delivering highly effective teaching, learning, and assessment throughout a timetable within Foundation Learning.
The role will involve maximising learners' potential to make positive progress towards their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and/or personalised outcomes, aspirations, and ultimately support sustainable destinations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with learners with SEND/SEMH, demonstrate multi-skilled expertise across trades, and bring a specialist area of expertise that will benefit the department. They will promote inclusive practice, deliver high-quality lessons, and develop individualised teaching, learning, and assessment approaches.
