The role requires the development of strong working relationships with students, parents and carers, as well as external agencies including social care, early help, and mental health services. You will also work closely with colleagues across the school, including tutors, teachers, and support staff, to ensure that students are fully supported to achieve successfully alongside their peers. Additional responsibilities include managing student files for those on specific support plans, tracking progress, and attending meetings where appropriate. You will be expected to take a lead role within the pastoral team, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where all students are empowered to succeed, thrive, and make the most of their opportunities at Brymore Academy.

  • Is calm, adaptable, and able to thrive in a busy school and boarding environment
  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Is confident using ICT and comfortable working with a wide range of learners and professionals
  • Will contribute positively to the wider life of the school and boarding community

What We Offer:

  • Local government pension scheme with generous employer contributions
  • Employee Reward Scheme including high-street discounts and a staff wellbeing centre.

Closing date for applications: Midnight, Tuesday 25th August.
