The Role
As a Teacher of DT, you will:
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Plan, assess, and report on student progress, ensuring high standards of learning.
- Create a positive, caring classroom ethos and maintain an attractive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental and whole-school initiatives.
- Support students with diverse needs, including SEN and EAL learners.
- Uphold the Trust’s safeguarding and wellbeing standards.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a commitment to inclusive education.
- Are enthusiastic, flexible, and eager to contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Are confident in using ICT and interactive technologies in the classroom.
Desirable Attributes
Experience supporting SEN and EAL students.

You’ll need to be accurate, reliable, and flexible, with the ability to work in a busy, hands-on environment. Physical effort and high concentration are essential due to the nature of the equipment and materials.
