Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver high-quality performing arts provision across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop a dynamic curriculum that encourages confidence, collaboration, and independent thought.
  • Support students with practical, technical, and expressive skills.
  • Contribute to a strong and supportive department and support colleagues.
  • Play an active role in the wider life and creative culture of the school, including the highly successful catalogue of extra-curricular activities run by the department.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to lead and deliver high-quality performing arts lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
  • Vision, energy, creativity, and resilience to inspire students and colleagues.
  • Team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to lead, support, and develop a supportive and dynamic department.
  • Belief that every child can succeed.
