About the role
- School Location: Cheam School, Newbury, RG19 8LD
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday (Working 5 days per week, every other Saturday)
- Shifts & Working hours: 11am-7:30pm (35 hours per week). May be required to cover Morning Shift 6:30am-2:30pm
- Working Weeks: 35 weeks per year plus holiday pay
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Catering Assistant, you’ll support our high-standard catering teams, helping deliver fresh, beautifully presented meals to students in our independent schools. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and serving meals and snacks to a high standard
- Assisting with plating, presentation, and counter service
- Supporting the kitchen team with food prep
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen and dining area
- Providing friendly and professional service to all students and staff
What we’re looking for
- Experience in catering or hospitality (School catering is preferable but not essential)
- A passion for food and high standards
- Teamwork skills and reliability
- Flexible approach to working hours to support school schedules
