Logistics Controller in Bridgnorth

To ensure all goods entering BNAL are booked in accurately, all visiting drivers are compliant with site safety rules, and all loads are booked out correctly.

The role maintains accurate weighbridge records, supports Material Handling operations, and ensures safe, compliant and efficient movement of goods across the site.

Weighbridge Operations

• Operate and manage the Avery Weighman system to accurately measure and record weights
• Identify and resolve issues in the weighing process
• Conduct regular inspections and basic maintenance of weighbridge equipment
• Ensure compliance with weight regulations and industry standards
• Record vehicle weights, driver details (including passports for dispatch), load information and issue weighbridge tickets
• Maintain accurate records of all weighbridge transactions
• Book in and out dross, skips and environmental deliveries

General Responsibilities

• Support gateway operations and provide additional weekend support to Material Handling
• Maintain PPE compliance and adhere to all site safety regulations

Requirements

• Experience in logistics, material handling or warehouse coordination in a manufacturing/industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of health & safety practices and environmental compliance
• Understanding of inventory management and stock control systems
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Competence with relevant IT systems (Avery Weighman, BAOPS, MS Office, etc.)
